This was our entry point working in kibera community.Football is the game that is popular among our chilldren and youths of kibera.Kibera mpira mtaani through the help of Vision africa funding we,ve managed to organize football tournament in vacation April August and December.The tournament attracts 136 teams from 16 villages of kibera,this is a total of 2500 children and youths in kibera.The tournament is categorised into 5 categories U 10 boys and girls U 12 boys and girls U 14 U16 and ladies.This vocational tournament involves all teams and clubs in kibera.

Last year 2010 our biggest challenge was funding which forced us to have the April tournament only.During the tournament time we also engage the teams in crating awareness in Hiv Aids ,Drugs and alternative to crime .we belive in empowering the children and youth of kibera to a better life to avoid use of drugs which can lead them to contacting hiv aids or join a wrong gang which leads to crime.we believe out of football we will get responsible citizens for this lovely country Kenya.Because a healthy sportsman needs a clean Environment.

In 2008 we introduced a new tournament in our football activities this is the kibera informal schools football tournament it runs every year in september.last year had 20 schools participating and was great success.This year 2011 feb we had Arsenal community coaches visiting our project and conducting soccer clinics with our children in kibera thanks to Alive and kicking kenya for organizing this.the children really loved and our coaches learned new skills and drills of coaching.
